The Lotus Esprit may return in 2012 as a serious rival to the likes of car Audi R8.The Lotus Esprit, who was born in 1976, could return to become one of sport's most radical market. The new Lotus Esprit 2012, will incorporate a large-displacement V8 engine and power. His aesthetic is closer to the style of the Lotus Evora, but with much more aggressive traits similar to those of these recreations, and existing elements and materials, achieving a very lightweight sports thanks to the carbon fiber of his body.
 The British company Lotus Sport has a long history of using Toyota engines to power its high-performance compact cars. In the same way that the Elise was powered by the same engine 1.8 VVT four-cylinder that was in the Celica, for 2012 the new Esprit will be powered by the same V10 engine that will go on the Lexus LF-A. This means the next Lotus Esprit will be at the higher price range to $ 100,000, along with models like the Lamborghini Gallardo.
